General Counsel and VP

Garry Founds is General Counsel to and Vice President of The Brawley Group (TBG). Prior to joining TBG, Garry was a Partner with Mallor Grodner LLP, a law firm with offices in Bloomington and Indianapolis, Indiana. Garry practiced law for over 20 years in the areas of real estate acquisitions and sales, real estate development, financing, leasing, creditor rights, private offerings, syndicated real estate investment, business organization and governance, and general business and corporate law. 

Garry has extensive experience not only with the legal issues involved in real estate transactions, but also with the related financial aspects and the underwriting process. During his time in private practice, Garry assisted clients with analyzing the financial performance of multifamily, student housing, and commercial projects and also assisted clients with underwriting several substantial refinancing, acquisition, and development projects. At TBG, Garry is the primary team member responsible for the underwriting of new acquisitions and development projects.

Garry is licensed to practice in the State of Indiana and is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Monroe County Bar Association. Garry studied law at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington, Indiana, graduating in 1999 magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, Garry obtained a bachelor’s degree in Music Business from Anderson University and worked for a music distribution company for five years while living in Nashville, Tennessee.
